FALL IS THE PERFECT SEASON FOR PLANTING PALM TREES!

The Dwarf Palmetto also known as Sabal minor is generally described as a Perennial Tree or Shrub. It is native to the United States and has its most active growth period in the Spring and Summer . The Dwarf Palmetto has Gray-Green foliage and inconspicuous White flowers, with black fruits or seeds. The greatest bloom is usually observed in the late Spring, with fruit and seed production starting in the Fall and continuing until Winter. Leaves are retained year to year. Dwarf Palmettos are an excellent choice for mass plantings, hedges, or foundation shrubs. They are grown in a variety of soil types and will do well in sun or shade. The Dwarf Palmetto has a moderate life span relative to most other plant species and a slow growth rate. At maturity, the typical Dwarf Palmetto will reach up to 9 feet high, with a maximum height at 20 years of 9 feet.
