Meyer lemons have thin-skinned fruit that are less tart than 'Eureka' or 'Lisbon' that you buy in the store and are nearly thorn less. Fruits abundantly in winter but can have some fruit most months of the year. Mature fruit turns from green to yellow to slightly orange in color. The Meyer Lemon flesh is a light orange-yellow color, with juice sweeter than that of most lemons. Meyer Improved lemons have a great reputation as an indoor houseplant.

Meyer Lemon is one of the hardiest (it can withstand cold weather and some abuse). And it's one of the most productive, for its size. And, best of all, it is a small compact tree which can grow well in most U.S. climates.
